Yule: History, Tradition, & Practice
Explore the history, honor the traditions, and make Yule your own.
Service Description
Yule: History, Tradition & Practice Yule is more than a winter holiday—it is a collection of traditions, stories, rituals, and practices that have evolved across generations. In this hands-on class, we’ll explore the history and traditions of Yule, look at how those traditions have changed over time, and talk about what it can look like to actually live the season in a modern home. I’ll share how Yule is practiced in my own home, including the traditions, rituals, and little bits of seasonal magic that have become part of our family’s celebration. Then we’ll put tradition into practice by making our own Yule logs. Each participant will create a beautiful wooden-based Yule log decorated with natural and seasonal elements and candles, designed to become a meaningful centerpiece for your Yule altar. This is **not a cooking class**—we're making the traditional Yule log for your altar, not the chocolate cake! Come curious, come creative, and come ready to explore the history behind a tradition while creating something you can bring home and incorporate into your own Yule practice. **ESA reimbursement may be available upon request.**
